Privacy policy

Which data is processed when you visit this website, for what purpose, on which legal basis, and what rights you have. Last updated: October 2026.

1. At a glance

Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally, such as your name, email address or IP address. In short:

  • Without your consent, the website only sets one cookie, which stores your choice in the consent banner.
  • Google Analytics and the LinkedIn Insight Tag only load if you agree.
  • We also count visits with Matomo on our own web space, without cookies and with shortened IP addresses.
  • Whatever you enter in a form is stored in our CRM Odoo and in our Microsoft 365 mailbox.
  • We serve fonts, scripts, images and downloads ourselves, without calls to Google Fonts or other third-party servers.

Controller

Elevate Horizons LLC, 3833 Powerline Rd, Suite 201, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309, USA, represented by its manager Dr.-Ing. Christian Doisl. Email: info@changeconsulting.io. Change Consulting, FORGE and ComplAInow are brands of Elevate Horizons LLC.

This policy follows the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). For visitors from Switzerland, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) also applies; the rights described apply accordingly.

2. Hosting and server logs

Hosting

The website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus, on servers in Lithuania. Hostinger processes data on our behalf under Art. 28 GDPR; the data processing agreement is part of Hostinger's terms. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Server logs

With every request, the server automatically stores your IP address, date and time, the requested address, the referring page, browser and operating system, the amount of data transferred and the status code. We need this information to run the website stably and securely and to detect attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not combine it with other data. Hostinger deletes the logs automatically after a short period.

Encryption

All connections to this website are encrypted with TLS, as shown by “https://” and the padlock in the address bar.

3. Cookies and consent

On your first visit, a banner asks whether you allow statistics and marketing tools. The banner is self-hosted (open source software CookieConsent) and does not send any data to third parties.

We store your choice for 182 days in the cookie “cc_einwilligung” in your browser. This cookie is strictly necessary (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG); the legal basis for storing it is our obligation to be able to demonstrate consent (Art. 6(1)(c) in conjunction with Art. 7(1) GDPR).

All other cookies and analytics tools only load with your consent (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

4. Contact and forms

Contact form

If you write to us using the contact form, we process your first name, last name, email address, phone number and message, plus your company if you provide it, as well as the language and the page from which you sent the form. We use this information to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in handling enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You will receive a confirmation by email.

Guides and use case library

If you request free materials, we process your first name, last name, email address, phone number and, if provided, your company in order to send you the download link by email and to contact you about it by email or phone. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We do not sign you up for a newsletter.

Protection against misuse

The forms contain an invisible field and a timing check against automated submissions. To prevent mass submissions, we store a non-reversible checksum of your IP address for no more than one hour (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use any third-party captcha.

Enquiries by email or phone

If you email or call us, we process your details to handle the enquiry on the same legal bases.

Retention

We delete enquiries once they have been dealt with and no statutory retention obligations apply, or when you withdraw your consent. If an enquiry leads to an engagement, the statutory retention periods for business records apply.

5. Services for enquiries and appointments

CRM: Odoo

We record enquiries and requests as contacts in our CRM. The provider is Odoo S.A., Chaussée de Namur 40, 1367 Grand-Rosière, Belgium. Odoo processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. More at odoo.com/privacy.

Email: Microsoft 365

We send notifications to ourselves and confirmations to you via Microsoft 365. The provider is Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052, USA. Microsoft processes the data on our behalf; processing in the USA is possible. Microsoft is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More at privacy.microsoft.com. A copy of each notification goes to our mailbox at Proton AG, Route de la Galaise 32, 1228 Plan-les-Ouates, Switzerland; the European Commission has recognised Switzerland as providing an adequate level of data protection.

Scheduling: Cal.com on our own server

We run the calendar for the intro call with the open source software Cal.com on our own server at Hostinger in Lithuania, available at booking.forge-works.io. The calendar only loads when you click “Book an intro call”. When you book, we process your name, email address, the chosen time and your notes in order to hold the call (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). You receive the booking confirmation via Microsoft 365. We delete booking data once it is no longer needed for working together.

6. Audience measurement and analytics

Matomo, without cookies

We count visits with Matomo, open source software running on our own web space at Hostinger in the EU. Matomo does not set cookies and stores nothing on your device. Your IP address is shortened by two bytes before it is stored, so we cannot identify you. We see, in aggregate, which pages are viewed, where visitors come from and which campaigns work. The data never leaves our server, and we delete raw data after 180 days. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-friendly audience measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If your browser sends “Do Not Track”, Matomo does not count your visit.

Google Analytics 4

Only with your consent in the statistics category do we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga and _ga_ with an identifier, lasting up to two years) and records which pages you view, how long you stay and where you come from. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Google keeps event data for no more than 14 months. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). More at policies.google.com/privacy.

LinkedIn Insight Tag

Only with your consent in the marketing category do we use the LinkedIn Insight Tag of LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. It shows us, in aggregate, which industries, company sizes and job functions our visitors come from, as far as they are signed in to LinkedIn, and measures campaign performance. We do not see individual people. For this, LinkedIn sets cookies, including li_fat_id, lidc and bcookie, pseudonymises direct identifiers after seven days and deletes the remaining data after 180 days. Data may be transferred to LinkedIn Corporation in the USA; LinkedIn is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). More at linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.

7. Other parts of the website

Links to LinkedIn

We link to our profiles on LinkedIn. These are plain links, not embedded plugins. LinkedIn only receives data when you follow a link; LinkedIn's privacy policy then applies.

Fonts, scripts and downloads

We serve fonts, scripts, images and PDF files from our own server. There are no connections to Google Fonts, third-party content delivery networks or captcha services. Retrieving them only creates the server logs described in section 2.

ROI calculator

The ROI calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your inputs are neither transmitted nor stored.

8. Seat in the USA and transfers

Elevate Horizons LLC is based in the USA. Data we process ourselves, such as enquiries in Odoo or emails in Microsoft 365, may therefore also be accessed from the USA. Without additional safeguards, the USA is not considered a country with a level of data protection comparable to the EU; US authorities may in some circumstances access data without effective legal remedies being available to you.

Where we use service providers in the USA, we rely on their certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR) or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR). The website itself, the calendar and Matomo run on servers in the EU.

9. Your rights

You have the right at any time to

  • access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR),
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
  • withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).

Right to object

Where we process your data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). We will then stop processing the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Right to lodge a complaint

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement (Art. 77 GDPR).

An email to info@changeconsulting.io is all it takes for any request.

No automated decisions

We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing and do not carry out profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

Changes

We update this policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
